The Central Range safari is the most popular choice of Jeep Safari and has a well-marked 28 km trail which take about 3 hours. Jeep Safari are conducted here in the morning and evening during season i.e. from October to April and Elephant Ride in the morning.

The safaris in Kaziranga are organized by the Forest Department during season. To visit Kaziranga Central Range, permission needs to be obtained from the Kohora Tourism Office. Advance booking is required for Jeep Safari and can be booked from Forest Office or from Jungleciti.

Western Range - Bagori

The Western Range at Bagori is considered as one of the best zones for the wildlife sighting in Kaziranga National Park. It has magnificently beautiful landscape with an abundance of wildlife species and lush greenery.

The entry gate to the Western Zone of the Kaziranga Park is located at Bagori. The Bagori Tourism Office is the starting point of this zone from where tourists can take the Jeep safari to the world famous Kaziranga. The Safari in Bagori Range covers Donga Beel and the right bank of Mori Diffalu River. It has a well-marked 26 km trail which took about 3-4 hours. Unlike Central Range, the Western Range safaris are wilder and take a rather bumpy jeep ride to get to this side of the reserve but it is well worth the trouble. The Jeep Safari in the Bagori zone offers an amazing sighting of the Rhinos, Elephant, Swap Deer and Wild Buffalos along with great variety of birds.

The safaris in Kaziranga are organized by the forest department.. To visit Kaziranga Western Zone, permission needs to be obtained from the Bagori Tourism Office. Advance booking is required for Jeep Safari and can be booked either from the Bagori Tourist Office or from Jungleciti.

Far Western Range - Burapahar

Burapahar Range of Kaziranga National Park is situated at Ghorakati on National Highway. This is the first zone on the way to Kaziranga from Guwahati by road.

The entry gate to the Burapahar zone of the Kaziranga Park is located at the Ghorakati village. The Rhino Land Park is the starting point for the Jeep Safari in this zone. The Burapahar tourism zone is the hilly terrain with beautiful scenery of nature and also considered best for birding. It has a well-marked 17 km trail which took about 2-4 hours. The zone also offers the trekking in the forest on the designated route which can be a very enriching experience to explore the dense forest so close. The Hoolock Gibbon and the Capped Langur can be primarily spotted in this zone along with a large number of Avifauna species.

To visit Burapahar Zone, visitors need to get the permission from the Ghorakati Range Office and book through Jungleciti Concierge.

Eastern Range - Agaratali

Agaratoli Range of the Kaziranga National Park spreads in the eastern side of the park along the National Highway near Agaratoli village. This zone has beautiful landscape with an abundance of wildlife species and lush greenery.

The entry gate to the Eastern Range of the Kaziranga National Park is situated at Agaratoli which is located on the National Highway. The Agaratoli Tourism Office is the starting point of this zone and only Jeep Safari is organized here. The Safari in Agaratoli Range covers Soholabeel, Maklung, Turturani and Dhuba areas of Kaziranga. It has a well-marked 22 km trail which took about 2 hours to complete.

Like Western Range, the safaris in Agaratoli Range are wilder and bumpy. Despite the bumpy rides, birders prefer this range because of the greater variety of birds, including bar-headed geese, black-necked storks, spot-billed ducks, and pelicans. The eastern zone also offers boat safari inside the park, which can be an amazing experience to explore the wildlife around the water bodies of the park.
